The Shadow Cabaret

The Shadow Cabaret was a sacred-satirical annual outdoor theater series made up of a cast and crew of farmers and artists. In it we highlighted and poked fun at the shadows of intentional living, however noble the goals of it may be. The land always played a major character, and the show was timed to integrate the sunset into its climactic moments. Characters were invited to explore their personal shadows within the broader plot of the performance. The show included audience participation and exploration, culminating in a real-time ritual and shared feast afterwards.
